A ceramic coated dark hulled boat at a dock at sunset

Mobile detailing across Tampa Bay

Gelcoat holds gloss
or it holds salt.

Florida gives a hull about two seasons before the sun takes the shine out of it. We reverse that in a day at your slip, then keep it from coming back. Priced by the foot, quoted after we have actually seen the boat.

  • We carry water and power
  • Licensed and insured
  • In-water or on the trailer

What actually happens

Oxidation is not dirt. It is the surface giving up.

Ultraviolet breaks down the resin at the very top of the gelcoat and leaves a chalk layer behind. Washing moves it around. Waxing hides it for a fortnight. The only thing that removes it is cutting that dead layer off with an abrasive and a machine, then putting something over the fresh surface that blocks the light.

Which is the entire reason a detail is priced on condition and not on a menu. A boat that has been covered for three years and a boat that has been on a lift in full sun are the same length and nothing like the same job.

The difference a cut makes

Drag it.

Flat, oxidised dark gelcoat The same dark gelcoat, corrected and sealed Oxidised Corrected

Illustrative rendering of a chalked finish, not a customer's boat. Real correction results depend on how deep the oxidation has gone.

Two stage correction on a black topside

Ceramic coating

Stop buying the same afternoon back every spring.

Wax is a sacrificial layer. It is doing its job by dying, and in this climate it dies in about a season. A ceramic coating bonds to the corrected gelcoat and holds gloss for years, which changes what a wash day is: a rinse and a wipe instead of a compound and a prayer.

It is not magic and we will not sell it as such. A coating over uncorrected, oxidised gelcoat just locks the dull in, permanently and expensively. The correction is the product. The coating is what protects the work.

  • Multi-stage correction before anything is applied
  • Hull, topside, hardware and glass
  • Annual inspection included, because maintenance is what kills coatings

How mobile service works

Nothing needs arranging on your end.

At your slip

Dock, lift, driveway or dry stack. We carry water and power, so nothing needs to be arranged on your end.

Wash and decontaminate

Salt, mildew and iron come off before a single pad touches the gelcoat. Skipping this is how swirl marks happen.

Cut and polish

Compound and polish selected off the hull's actual condition, not off a package name.

Seal and inspect

Protection goes on, then we walk it with you before we leave. Nothing gets billed you have not seen.

Owners

The hull had gone flat and I had already priced out a repaint. Two days of correction later I am not repainting anything.
Ray D.38' express, Apollo Beach
They show up when they say, they bring their own water, and the boat is done when I get there Friday. That is the whole product.
Marisol T.26' center console, St. Pete
Third season on the coating. I rinse it and it looks detailed.

That is genuinely all we need to get you a number worth acting on.
